About Magicon Norway

Magicon Norway has an annual event each year at the end of June, and for each event there's new visual branding matching the event's theme. The organization also operates with a core brand identity, that ties every event together.
I've been working with Magicon Norway as a volunteer since 2021, when the event still was in the early stages of conception. My part in the crew has mostly consisted of marketing work in terms of content creation, graphical templates, infographics, managing ads, and contributing with physical work during the event. From 2022 to 2024 I had the honour of leading the organization's Info crew, the department that focuses on marketing strategies to reach the target audience. The main goal is to present information in a way that will peak people's interest and sell more tickets. We present information through various digital platforms, such as the event's website, social media, and app.
Announcement templates
I was tasked with making templates for the Magicon Unchained social media announcements. 
"Create a template that can support different types of announcements (ex: guest, competition, activity, etc) while keeping the visual branding strong so it's easily recognisable to the target audience."
The template was made with the visual branding for the upcoming event, so it's easy for the audience to differentiate it from previous years' content.
Utilising the instagram slide feature while keeping the chain elements from the brand identity connected from one slide to another, I managed to make bitesized square pictures that can be viewed as a full photo. This layout also suited facebook's format, where every post is being crossposted. 
The template is designed in such a way that there's no limit to how many slides you can make, as some announcements require more photos presented. To make an "infinite loop", repeat the second and third slide after each other. See example under:
Interactive template
Using an interactive marketing strategy, we made a graphical template for instagram/facebook stories. The goal with this graphic is that visitors can share it to their own stories and add their planned costumes for the event. This made more people aware of the event, and created more interest.
To make it easy for others to use the template, we naturally used instagram's "Add yours template" function. This locks in the graphics as a background, so that the template will stay as intended, while allowing the user too add their own photos and text.
