AKA
"A collection of Norwegian cosplayers"
My Graphic Design bachelor thesis project. AKA is a photobook focusing on the art of cosplay, paired up with some insight on how this activity affects the participants' identity. For this project I've been in touch with eight different cosplayers; all of them with their own struggles and reasons for why they enjoy this peculiar activity of dressing up as fictional characters from different media. As expected, there are some similarities among the reasons that play into their participation in the cosplay community, and that is the strong sense of unity.
The design and photography in this book are both a product of my own work.
